Collective Landscape of Fears

A collaborative project utilizing AI Text to Image generators to give new context to some of our irrational fears. With an archive of 236 generated images from 94 fears, we created a digital collage that blends each of them seamlessly into a surreal scenery. This project show the importance of working hand in hand with generative processes. More info about this project is documented here.

The outcomes were then generated with Stable Diffusion. This framework allows us to recount our fears in detail and have someone else (in this case, the generator) imagine the scenario. This is deliberate to create a cloud of nostalgia, and looking through the foggy lenses of memory

A miro board containing keywords and sampling methods were created for archival purposes

Tapping on the paintings of Zdzislaw Belinski, our images maintained a consistent look allowing us to blend them all into one ultrawide landscape

The collage was then displaced which I think really amplifies the disturbing atmoshphere
