Religious Iconography in Buddhist Books

This project documents the religious iconography present in freely available Buddhist literature. Often overlooked, these books typically feature the same visual strategies; gradients, blue skies and repeated imagery of lotuses are some to name a few. By scanning these recurring motifs, this project collects and showcases the shared identity in a book format reminiscent of these Buddhist literature.
